SASSA Banking Details (Main Grants)
Updated on 23 June 2026
To change or confirm your bank account for SASSA grants (Old Age, Disability, etc.), use the Annexure C form. Here’s how.
Steps
- Get Annexure C (Banking Details) form at SASSA
- Take it to your bank to stamp and confirm your account
- Submit the stamped form at a SASSA office
- Allow one payment cycle for the change to take effect
Who can change the bank?
- The beneficiary (the person who gets the grant) must change the details. SASSA won’t pay into someone else’s account.
- If the beneficiary cannot go in person, appoint a procurator at SASSA with proper documents.
Tips
- The bank account must be in the beneficiary’s name
- Keep your phone number up to date for notifications
- Using a bank account is more convenient than cash collection
- If you switch from a SASSA/Postbank card to a private bank, normal bank ATM fees apply
